Coming off the heels of Pacquiao's convincing win in Las Vegas, another Pinoy athlete is set to make a name for himself in the international stage. Ilonggo golfer Juvic Pagunsan is all set to play in a PGA Tour event, the Sony Open in Hawaii January next year. Pagunsan, a former caddy from Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, came out of nowhere to bag the Asian Tour’s "Rookie of the Year" award after finishing second in the UBS Hong Kong Open last week. His runner-up prize lifted him to seventh in the Asian Tour’s Order of Merit with earnings of $288,794, aside from giving him an automatic slot at the Sony Open.
